I just realized I never actually wrote what happened with Inara. I made a video but I promised to write something to in case people didn’t watch the video.
Long story short, everyone who wrote to me was correct. It was spurs. The vet said since none of the other pigs had it that it probably just happened to Inara for no reason. Inara is fine. :) Spurs grow like toenails so the vet will just keep trimming them when we take her to get her nails clipped. Since there’s not much online about spurs I’ll write a post about them in a few minutes. I’ll also write a post about what happens at the vet when a piggy gets a checkup.
Thank you to everyone who kept me sane that day. :)

Tiana, you were are such a smart little hamster. You even came when we called your name. I loved the cute little quirks you had. Like how you’d only run on your wheel and not in it. I loved how when I came home from being away at school you would come running out of your little igloo. My sister, your mommy, definitely loved you a lot. She loved how you’d walk all over her and never try to run away. She loved putting you in little boxes and tricking people into opening them. I’m pretty sure you liked it too because you always waited until the perfect moment to pop your head out. You also loved taking rides in her shirt or pocket. You sure did love boobies.

You were a happy hamster. You loved to run around your mom’s bed. You loved to climb the piggies like they were mountains. I’ll never forget watching you and the piggies play. It made me so happy that you guys were best friends. I know the piggies will miss their little buddy too.
We all know how much your mommy loves you. I think it was also obvious how much you love your mommy. You had no problem letting her pick you right up. You even fell asleep on her. That was how you spent your last night. Snuggled up happily with your mommy.

Have fun on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Say hello to all the others for us. We’ll see you all again one day. Rest in peace. We’ll miss you. We love you.
Mom: Hi! How was your day?
Me: Hello, human.
Guinea pigs: Wheek!
Me: OMG! My babies! Hello! I missed you! I love you so much, my little wheekers! Let’s snuggle!
Wow! I just noticed! Thanks, guys! If I had a contest (for followers only) how many of you would enter? I’m not sure what the prizes would be but they’d be something for a guinea pig. I’ll let you guys help work out the details if enough people say they’ll enter!
Can anyone recommend good quality but still fairly cheap pet beds that will clean up easy and be good for guinea pigs? I have four pigs, if that makes a difference. I want ones that will last a while and clean up nicely. Like, they’ll obviously pee/poop in/on them and I’m going to have to wash them. Do you think I’ll have to use a washing machine or could I wash them by hand?
I’m going through my phone and queuing a lot of pictures I took and never posted! :)
“Animal Rights (focusing on small animals) As I’ve mentioned here before I own a 4 guinea pigs and a dwarf hamster. At first, I assumed the pet stores’ care instructions were accurate and the best way to care for my pets. I soon found out that they were the total opposite. Caring for small animals the way pet store’s tell you to will greatly decrease your pet’s lifespan. Actually, most of what they tell you will actually KILL your pet. I’d like to write a paper on how to properly care for these animals and why the pet store’s instructions are wrong.”
When it is done and submitted I’ll post it here for you guys to read.
I really will use any possible chance to get word out about this!
So I was laying in my bed but everything was a lot bigger. The guinea pigs were 200lbs each (instead of 2-3lbs). So I guess since me and the pigs fit on my bed that means the bed was bigger. But maybe only slightly bigger because now that I think about it my boyfriend is almost 200lbs and we can both sleep in my bed just fine. Okay. So. Whatever. I had a bigger room, giant pigs, and therefore a ginormous piggy cage. So I was just laying in bed sleeping and River jumped out of the cage, onto the top of my dresser, and than onto my bed. She landed on top of me. I was a little startled when I woke up. When I realized it was River I was trying to be nice and pet her and snuggle her. She was kissing me all over my face and just being adorable (like when I hold her in real life). But at the same time I was yelling for my mom to come help me because I was stuck under River because she was bigger than me. No matter how much I yelled my mom never came. I started getting scared that River might kill me. But I didn’t want to stop petting or cuddling her because I didn’t want to make her feel bed. And then I woke up. And I’m really confused now.
Are there any questions any guinea pig parents or soon-to-be guinea pig parents want/need answers to? Anything anyone is wondering about? Any things you know about but think I should write about? I need ideas for things to write about.
P.S. I promise I’ll start posting pictures again soon!
So, I gave my piggies their dinner (carrots, celery, collard greens, parsley, and green bell peppers). After placing their plates in the cage I decided that those carrots looked wonderful. I I reached in to grab one and they bit me. Okay. Okay. I’ll get my own carrot. <sarcasm> I totally understand that I rarely ever feed you so when you finally get food you can’t even spare one carrot. </sarcasm> Piggies are wonderful.
